Major Franchises are Expanding in Arizona

The Arizona commercial real estate market has been buzzing with activity as major real estate development companies, and corporate giants have acquired land and buildings in recent months. Additionally, cities throughout the Valley have been making way for several new residential housing projects. The state’s economic development is also being shaped by another factor–franchise expansion. Here is more on major franchises who are expanding in Arizona:

IAONE Commercial Real Estate Group and Quality Brand Group (Dunkin? Donuts)

According to a recent report, IAONE Commercial Real Estate Group, in a development partnership with Quality Brand Group, has a plan to expand its store network to 200 or more stores in Arizona and Texas. Quality Brand Group is reportedly the largest Dunkin’ franchisee west of the Mississippi River.

Dunkin? owns 62 locations in Arizona, and, according to the company, it has been able to remain operational during the pandemic. When interviewed recently, Conrad Wilkerson, director of real estate for Quality Brand Group, stated that ?During these very uncertain times, Dunkin’ has proven its ability to creatively evolve and adapt to unforeseen events and continue to provide what our customers desire.? Wilkerson also commented that ?We were able to keep all of our stores with drive-thru services open during the stay at home orders due to our devoted operations team,? and that ?We experienced very low employee turnover, retaining all of our general managers and district managers. Customers turned to the trusted Dunkin’ brand during this time of uncertainty because we continued to offer the same service and quality products at a great value that our customers have grown to trust and love since 1950, reinforcing that Dunkin? is America?s No. 1 retailer of hot and iced coffee by the cup.?

The IAONE/Quality Brand Group franchise expansion into Arizona during such an uncertain time will bring economic development and employment opportunities. Depending on the locations where the stores will be built or developed, these projects may follow the growth and activity in the West Valley and other areas in and around Maricopa County. For instance, as the Loop 303 Corridor continues to expand, and new operations and neighborhoods are established, it?s likely that franchise locations such as Dunkin’ would be welcome additions to these growing industrial and residential communities.
