Thousands of New Construction Homes are Coming to the Southeast Valley

In February of 2021, multiple builders discussed their plans to bring new residential communities to Queen Creek and Mesa. Development details revealed that thousands of new construction homes are coming to the Southeast Valley. Here is more on these up-and-coming residential real estate projects:

The Mesa Developments

Developer Tri Pointe Homes, formerly known as Maracay, is building the Cadence at Gateway in Mesa. The new 464-acre master-planned community will add 127 homes to Mesa?s Gateway corridor. The new Tri Pointe properties are available in multiple styles, including Spanish, Bungalow, and Farmhouse, and offer four floor plan options. All 30′ wide homes are two-story, and the square footage ranges from 1,863 square feet to 2,551 square feet. Residences provide three, four, or five-bedroom options, two to three baths, and two-bay garages. The homes are priced beginning in the mid-$300,000s. Cadence at Gateway is located just to the southeast of the Loop 202 SanTan Freeway and in the highly-ranked Queen Creek Unified School District. The community is also close to the 272-acre Gilbert Regional Park.

Tri Pointe Homes president James Attwood said of the project that ?Cadence at Gateway will combine personalized quality with big backyards and plenty of community appeal, like an 8-acre community park, 12,000-square foot clubhouse and more.? Tri Pointe is also planning to open a 251-unit townhouse complex, Towns of Annecy, in Gilbert.

Landsea Homes recently acquired 113 finished lots in Green Court at Eastmark and 90 lots in Auto Courts in Eastmark. According to a recent article, 9,000 residents currently reside in the 3,200-acre Eastmark community in Mesa. Landsea Arizona Regional President Greg Balen commented that the Landsea Homes? Eastmark acquisitions fit the company?s goal to strategically expand in Arizona. Balen also said, ?We?ve sold homes in Eastmark before, and they appealed to the region’s demand for modern, quality housing at a desired price point. Mesa is one of Arizona’s most sought-after cities to live in, and we know that these new homes at Auto Courts and Green Court will sell quickly.?

Queen Creek Development

Fulton Homes recently announced that it has broken ground on Barney Farms, a 550-acre master-planned community in Queen Creek. The massive project will bring 1700 single-family homes and a deep-water lake to Queen Creek. The location of the community will be at Queen Creek and Signal Butte roads. The developer also plans to include a 22-acre deep-water lake that will run through the community center.? In addition, there will also be 114 acres devoted to open space. Barney Farms will offer buyers a choice of four neighborhood communities. Single-story homes will start at $380,000 with three bedrooms. The community?s two-story homes with lofts will be priced up to $470,000 and will have a customizable floor plan that can be changed to allow up to six bedrooms. Other amenities will include a neighborhood trail system, an aquatic center, a community clubhouse, and multiple sport courts.
